Pay-to-Ride Float
Have you ever wanted to ride a float in a Mardi Gras parade? Here is your chance.
The Krewe of Southdowns is looking for individuals or families that would like to ride on a float in their parade on Friday, February 9th. The theme is “Southdowns in Wonderland”. Wouldn't it be fun to ride on a beautiful, professionally constructed float with a bathroom facility on board? You bring your own throws, libations and snacks. For just $150 per person, you can be one of 20 special people who will ride this year's float called "The Krewe of Glue" on Friday, February 9th at 7:00 p.m.
At approximately 5 p.m. on parade day, you can start the celebration early on your float that will board behind Sprouts Market on Perkins. Incidentally, there is plenty of parking available. You will disembark from the same location upon completion of your fabulous ride. The theme is "Southdowns in Wonderland". While not mandatory, dressing up in costume would make the experience more fun.
