The Friends of the Flambeaux is a support organization for individuals and families who wish to support the Krewe of Southdowns Mardi Gras krewe.
Supporters who donate at least $40 will receive a yard sign decorated with this year's theme. Plus, having a sign is sure to get you extra attention at the parade. :)
Dear Southdowns Neighbor,
The 37th Annual Krewe of Southdowns parade rolls on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 7 PM, rain or shine! Show your support for Baton Rouge Mardi Gras by donating to Friends of the Flambeaux, the parade’s non-profit support organization.
• If you would like to make a donation, please send your check payable to Krewe of Southdowns via Terri DuCote, Keeper of the Royal Treasure, at 2168 Cedardale Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70808.

Supporters who donate at least $40 will receive a Friends of the Flambeaux yard sign decorated with this year's theme, Alice in Wonderland! Signs allow revelers and float riders to identify supporters during the parade. Having a sign is sure to draw extra attention!
The parade’s sustained growth and increased complexity means overhead expenses continue to rise. Although corporate sponsors support the Krewe, friends and neighbors are the Krewe’s primary source of funding. Any size donation provides support, and the Krewe thanks you!
The parade will form up along Glasgow Street and Glasgow Middle School. To keep the parade rolling, the Krewe also seeks safety walkers, ground crew, organizers, float builders, fundraisers, decorators, and all fun and creative people!
